I have NEVER locked myself in a room threatening suicide! I did have to save my life and save myself from being harmed, in Kurdistan, after Sallah Xoshnaw contacted his Kurdish friend in Erbil British Embassy and told him a whole load of lies because I have 'humiliated and shamed him in public'. Let me just explain the cultural meaning here. 'Humiliation and shame' to an extremist Kurdish man can mean a woman, any woman, calmly and publicly saying, 'No thank you. To an invite which the man considers a privilege. Or, a woman privately saying to her colleague 'I don't think it is ethical to write someone's PhD for them.' Or, refusing to kiss the married Kurdish guy in private. But, usually, all a woman has to do is calmly and politely say, 'I don't want to, but thanks.' Kurdish women can be mamed, 'disappeared', and killed, just for that. And, that is what most Westerners, especially men, do not understand and do not believe. Western men in Iraq have a completely different experience to western women.

Female genital mutilation is commonly practised in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The prevalence of the practice is about 40% (6). The commonest type of female genital mutilation in this region is type I (76–99%) (6–8), which includes partial or total removal of the clitoris or the prepuce (clitoridectomy) (1). It is carried out on girls at an average age of 7 years (8).

When you look at the prevalence of FGM, spousal rape, abuse and murder in Kurdistan, why would anyone believe most Kurdish men are female friendly? Well, there are many that are. But, my story is not about THOSE men. Read on...

It is December 2018. This is the first time I engage with the FCDO, via the British Embassy, via Ibrahim Issa on WhatsApp. It is my second time living in Kurdistan. I am in an employment dispute with yet another corrupt, misogynistic, Kurdish lecturer, who has messed me around completely and tried to 'speak on my behalf', without my consent, after my colleague and I were hit by a car in Raparin, Ranya, Kurdistan, Iraq. My refusal to allow him to 'talk for me' has 'greatly insulted him' and it is the second or third time I have, apparently, 'greatly insulted him'. The first time was when I refused to go to the Kurdistan Regional Government with him because I didn't like him, he was fraudulently claiming he wrote a PhD he did not write, was sleazy and arrogant. All you have to do to many Kurdish men is calmly disagree and they become enraged and, yes, 'greatly insulted'. You just have to softly and confidently say, 'No thank you'.

After discovering that Sallah Xoshnaw (Raparin University - pic below) was slandering me repeatedly to my colleagues, I confront him and ask him why he is slandering me and why he and Ashley Thomas (the teenage manager who has lied about being the Manager of a Language Institute at the University of Chester) are trying to speak on my behalf to the family of the man who ran us over. I tell Sallah I am resigning and give him one month's notice. Due to the fact most Kurdish men do not take anything women say seriously, Sallah tries to kiss me in his office. I refuse and walk out, reminding him I have resigned!

Ashley Thomas, the Assistant to Sallah, is a fraud. He is English and is receiving funding for a Masters degree at a university in his home town, in England. He is not entitled to this money but he is claiming fraudulently that he is. So, he is fully funded as a 'home student' and does not have to pay the huge amount of money which he should be paying as an overseas student. This is Ashley, below. I would never call little Ashley a 'friend'. He is a snake. Ashley and I have already had a run-in over a colleague called David, who is inviting young male students (17 - 19) to his apartment and seducing them. Some would call it grooming. David, showed too keen an interest in the young ten year old brother of one of these students (Mohammed) and the older student has told me he feels 'confused' since David arrived. David repeatedly tries to talk to me about his 'feelings' towards young Mohammed and I tell Mohammed, in front of David (Irish), not to be alone with him. David has convinced young Mohammed to paint his apartment, while his brother is at university! Nobody in the university is interested in doing anything about this.

Are these the 'friend(s)' the FCDO refer to later in their communications (below)? The boy-man who will do anything to get into the good books of the corrupt Sallah Xoshnaw? The pedophile, David? The pedophile who told me within a week of arriving that he wouldn't be seeing me in the university after December?

Sallah Xoshnaw - Did not write his PhD but asked multiple EFL Teachers to write it for him. Is he now Dr Xoshnaw with a PhD from a British university? Just a typical fraud in Kurdistan!

The email below, heavily redacted, claims I received the money owed to me by Raparin University before the 10th December and implies that there seems to be some 'unknown' reason I am 'suicidal'. Raparin University did not give me the money until about a week later. Their claims that I suddenly became 'suicidal for no reason at all', were blatant lies and an attempt to hide the fact they were threatening and harassing me. I was not suicidal. I was using the tactic women have to use in Kurdistan, which only Kurdish men understand - threaten them with humiliation until they give you what they owe you. Many Kurdish men think they can humiliate, abuse and kill women just for disagreeing with them.

Prior to me resigning, Sallah had repeatedly threatened me and told me not to speak for myself during the meetings with the family whose father ran myself and my colleague over.

We weren't just run over though. We were run over, then we were encouraged to get into the same car with a different driver who then took us to the hospital - the drunk driver was in another car. While we were driving to the hospital, the car we were in suddenly burst into flames in the front of the car. We were locked in the back of the car. I had to fight hard to get out of the car, and Dean, my colleague, who was clearly in shock, just sat there without reacting. I jumped into the front seat of the car, opened the back door and pulled Dean out. Dean was still in shock after being hit and thrown in the air. He stood there and mumbled something about being calm and not understanding why he was so calm. After I calmed down, after shouting at the 'stupid fucking driver', we walked (Dean limped) to the hospital. This was all before I resigned, and after I withdrew my complaint from Raparin Court due to the intimidation and threats I was receiving from Sallah Xoshnaw. This was all before Jamal Ali and Sallah Xoshnaw contacted the Embassy to claim they were 'in a panic due to me suddenly, and without reason, threatening suicide', and the FCDO willingly swallowed it all whole! They did not mention at all, or ask their friend Ibrahim Issa, in the Embassy, to record the court case that was registered in Ranya Court, not the fact we had been run over, nor the fact he had been threatening me! But, Sallah and Jamal Ali did tell me they had contacted the British Embassy threatening me with expulsion from Iraq. They did not tell me everything they had said and done, and the disgusting lies they had told about me. Sallah did tell a colleague, a former BBC worker who had been station in Peru, what he was up to! So, Sallah was plannin on causing me a lot of harm, so I had to take drastic action to protect myself and make sure the Embassy was paying attention. When I eventually received a response from the Embassy I realised they did not have a clue about what had been going on, so I went along with the lie that Sallah and Jamal claimed, 'That I was suicidal', because that is the only way they were paying attention. It was a tactic to make sure I was not harmed! Sallah was being watched then and they had to change their attitude, because before I said this they were very willing to do all kinds of things.

You will not find this Information anywhere in the FCDO data because the FCDO wrote everything as if it was fact and they did it all secretly! There is ZERO mention of us being hit by a car and ZERO mention of the court case. Who was 'the friend' the FCDO mention?

As a result of Sallah and Jamal's threats and refusal to pay me, I was threatening Sallah Xoshnaw with humiliation (Kurdish cultural meaning - public disagreement and exposing his total lack of control) for messing me around and therefore forcing me to resign. He also knew I was not afraid of him, and, annoyingly for him, he knew I could also just leave whenever I wanted! So, given Sallah and Jamal Ali had already told me they had contacted the Embassy, I too contacted the Embassy to make them absolutely sure that if they didn't give me the money I would humiliate them, in their own community. This is the way typical employment disputes are handled in Kurdistan: either parties come to an amicable agreement or threats are made with regards to honour and reputation. They couldn't tarnish my 'honour' in Kurdistan but they could contact the Embassy/FCDO and claim I was deranged. They couldn't kill me although Sallah certainly tried to have me seriously, physically disabled after I moved out of Raparin University accommodation. I was eventually sneaked out of the village late at night in a taxi, hiding behind the seat of the taxi driver, to get away from Xoshnaw and his group of misogynists.

What did the FCDO write? This is what they wrote and this is what they did:

First, they labelled me, without any conversation with me about the fact that they were going to label me. In effect they did it all SECRETLY. They claimed I was 'suicidal and that Jamal Ali had 'brought a psychiatrist to my apartment'. Total lie!

Glen Garnham labelled me as 'VULNERABLE' SECRETLY and completel left out the court case and threats! This is SLANDER!

I was not vulnerable! I was fighting with two university professors who were harassing me, slandering me, refusing to pay me, not responding to reason, and who I threatened to humiliate with a 'suicide' (public humiliation), which I had to continue pretending I was going to do to get my money from them. When I contacted the Embassy they said, 'We do not get involved in disputes with employers', but at the same time they were having direct discussions with the guys who were threatening me; who were pretending to be in a panic so they could have me either arrested, or something far more sinister. Sallah was pretending he was in a panic, because with me he was totally calm and smug. So was Jamal Ali and so was their sleazy colleague who was sending me disgusting messages all through our dispute! Really sleazy messages, when he knew I was in the middle of a dispute with Sallah and Jamal Ali.

'You will like me. I am a big boy. Try me!'

No explanation, or attempt to even make me aware, as to how this label of 'vulnerable' was going to affect me at all. They did not inform me they were going to label me with this label.

I was anything but vulnerable!

I had an armed guard and was living with one of Sallah's enemies, in Ranya, who also helped get me out of Ranya!

The armed guard was subsequently granted asylum in Canada, where he now lives peacefully!

The FCDO did this (labelled me) to cover their own back! This was their first lie! I did not discover this until about 2020 or 2021, when I was in another dispute (very common in Kurdistan) with Saqi Barzani!

When Saqi Barzani started posting on Facebook that I was 'mentally ill', as well as lots of other lies and slander. Where did he get this information? The FCDO of course! He was aware of this information BEFORE I was aware they had written this, because Saqi Barzani is the cousin of Nichervan Barzani, the Kurdish Prime Minister at the time (or President - same thing, revolving chairs, same dictators).

To finish what happened in Ranya, before I move on to 2020. The FCDO (Glen Garnham?) wrote the following:

Why would the FCDO contact Police Scotland? Police Scotland have no jurisdiction outside of the UK. Scotland has/had no say in external affairs. I was not dangerous, suicidal or even heading back to Scotland. I had another job in Erbil to go to, AFTER Raparin University paid me the money they owed me, and after New Year. No explanation has been given to me as to why the FCDO contacted Police Scotland and why they sent them this fictitious, baseless report.

It is clear here that the FCDO contacted Police Scotland and were in contact with Police Scotland. There is a lot of redacted information in the Subject Access Request, which I did not receive until years later, after Police Scotland started stalking me everywhere and doing it in a very intimidating way, after I returned in Feb 2020.

The communications in the FCDO were coming from Glen Garnham (Glen.Garnham@fco.gov.uk). He repeatedly states they will not get involved, whilst writing to Sallah and Jamal believing everything they are saying and recording, 'I am in constant contact with the university'.

Anything I was writing was being perceived in a very selective and one-sided way. We (myself and the embassy/Glen) were also communicating via WhatsApp or Viber. Anything Sallah and Jamal Ali, and the little English fraudster Ashley, were writing to him was being perceived as if they were the innocents and I was acting 'irrationally'. These same animals were sending groups of security guards to sit outside my apartment for two weeks to try and intimidate me to leave without my salary, return flight, refund etc. At the same time as sending emails to the FCDO to claim 'They were helping me', and at the same time as threatening me daily, and refusing to pay me whilst also claiming they 'had paid me'.

To repeat, while the FCDO were claiming they do not get involved in disputes they were clearly willing to believe everything they were saying, without a single shred of proof and without any investigation at all.

Jamal Ali claims he 'took a psychiatrist and 'two friends' to my apartment'. I would not have considered anyone in that university a friend and there was no psychiatrist brough to my apartment, because I did not need one. We did however have a huge discussion in the local Asayish office with the Head of Asayish who was a friend of mine, who defended me and said he would look after me while I stayed there, until I left to go to my new job in Erbil. No psychiatrist was present, ever!

Much tribal debate was being had, constantly, and many friends outside of the university told me how they were fed up with the nepotism which Sallah was part of (his uncle being the president of Raparin). The nature of the debate was whether Sallah's tribe could allow me to leave without repercussions to protect his honour! Luckily the local inspector was a reasonable man and he laughed at Sallah! Called him a silly man. Another humiliation for the stupid man.

Here are some more of the records from the FCDO for THAT time in Iraq.

At the same time as Jamal Ali and Sallah were playing these dangerous games, they were sending me nasty messages on WhatsApp/Viber then sending me emails to try and look as if they were acting 'concerned', as well as trying to flirt with me in a very disgusting way. Yeuk!

This was from Sallah. He sent me this email because the local Asayish ignored his request to have me deported and he was once again 'humiliated'. Sallah then sent two immigration offices, from his own clan, one with a valid immigration ID and another with an expired ID, to take me to Sulaymaniah at 3pm in the afternoon when the immigration office was closed! I was with an armed guard and his clan boss and I refused. The boss promised to protect me until I could escape, and he did. I was most grateful. Sallah wanted me seriously maimed. Again, you will not read any of this on FCDO databases because they have only recorded one side of events!

This is where it gets really sinister and sick and where the FCDO clearly support the misogynistic view of many Kurdish men. Instead of investigating what was really going on, the FCDO repeatedly took information from Jamal Ali and Sallah Xoshnaw who made out there was no reason for me to resign, no reason for me to write to the Embassy, no reason for me to be leaving. In this released information they actually try to make it look as if I am 'just feeling bad about working with Yezedi refugees in Greece and claimed I said my son had committed suicide'. The only people who ever claimed my son committed suicide were the people who murdered my son. In this message, written by Glen Garnham, he tells (reassures Jamal Ali and Sallah Xoshnaw) that he 'won't be intervening in any 'financial disputes' and believes every single word they are saying, while telling me at the same time 'they will not intervene', and had been 'intervening' well before I contacted them.

Glen Garnham then puts all of these lies on record, secretly, in the FCDO; passes this false, slanderous and incomplete 'data' to Police Scotland and it is all done without my knowledge or consent. To cover their backs! To be used at a later date?

I go to my next job feeling relieved that I managed to find very strong allies and friends in the middle of a dispute which the FCDO refused to investigate properly; repeatedly lied about the conversations they were having; as a result put me in danger, repeatedly, by believing the lies, and then kept it all secret. Why? To maintain good relationships with Raparin University which was receiving funding from the UK and EU.

Again, Sallah and Jamal trying to make out the resignation did not happen and I was going to receive my November salary as usual, if I just had 'the common sense to stay and pretend no court case ever happened; we weren't hit by a car; I wasn't threatened and intimidated' and the FCDO are not lying through their fucking teeth!

Oh, sure!
