Understanding Asylum: A British Perspective

Asylum is a complex and often misunderstood topic that evokes strong emotions and opinions. Most people do not understand the process. Citizens of countries in Europe that offer asylum most certainly do not know what happens in the asylum camps. In Europe, and probably also in the UK, the asylum process is a vital aspect of the immigration system, providing refuge to individuals fleeing persecution, violence, and human rights abuses in their home countries. Asylum seekers are also provided with housing, money and the privilege of human rights lawyers (which British and European citizens must pay for). Many of the asylum seekers I met were openly frauds (70%+); many were scamming the system and many Africans in particular used the system as a business strategy. This blog post aims to demystify the asylum process from the perspective of a British person requesting asylum in Europe, exploring the conditions in camps, current practices, and the challenges faced by asylum seekers. It will also consider how people in the system become or already were sadists and how they are complicit in everything that happens due to the directive from the EU regarding the treatment of asylum seekers and refugees. You will not hear this perspective anywhere else because you will not meet another British asylum seeker or hear about another British asylum seeker - because there are none! There were Canadians and Americans in 2024! I believe everyone should be treated humanely, but I also believe criminals and sadists should not be part of a system that promotes these people and protects these people at the expense of kind, compassionate, law-abiding citizens. Suspend your disbelief because you will not believe what I have to tell you!



I began my asylum requests (plural - multiple countries) in October 2023 when Judge Colin Tyre, in Edinburgh, in the Inner House of the High Court, refused me an appeal relating to the case (I was the plaintiff) that I submitted to the Investigative Powers Tribunal in the UK Home Office in 2021. The case was not heard until December 2022, when I had already left to work in China. I was in constant contact with the clerk of the IPT court but they still decided not to allow me the opportunity to speak, the right to have legal representation, the right to hear how they came to their decision, or the right to challenge fictitious and criminal information given to the court from the FCDO and Police Scotland.



So, I started an IPT Appeal request. You can read it here:



In effect, the IPT Court in London, chaired by Vice President Colin Boyd (the judge who previously denied me an inquiry into the murder of my sixteen-year-old son in 2005), denied me any human rights at all. In the appeal Judge Colin Tyre claimed they could hold a court case secretly, deny me any legal right to speak and claimed this was because I was 'out of reach'! What were they claiming? They still claim I do not have the right to read how they came to their decision that: Nothing illegal took place. (Excuse me for mixing up Tyre and Boyd - I am sure they are best mates, became QCs at the same time, joined the High Court at the same time, etc., both Scottish judges. Informal talks are what constitutes law in the UK. That is why nobody understands the decisions bent judges come to.)


In my appeal (Oct 2023), I cite a reference that Police Scotland submitted to the IPT court (in the above document), which also claimed I had this fictitious conversation and agreed to this abusive, anonymous police officer putting me on a Vulnerable Person's Database, when I was in the UK, after trying to report Saqi Barzani's crimes in 2020. I had a conversation but it was certainly not that conversation! The Police Scotland document was written by an anonymous police officer who claims both my children are dead, that I did not raise my children and that I had not seen my son for 20 years. He also implies I am lying about everything - I was not in Iraq, I did not work for the Barzanis, Saqi Barzani did not post slanderous and disgusting posts all over Facebook. All absolute lies and easily disprovable.

I was not given the opportunity to challenge what this misogynist little scumbag wrote because, like the Embassy lies from 2018, it was all written secretly, without my knowledge and without my consent, of course. This was all done secretly by Police Scotland when I complained about Police Scotland refusing to take details of multiple international crimes and about treating me very aggressively in 2020/21. It was all done after the FCDO officially records that they are stalking me; lying about what happened in Ranya, Iraq; and doing it all covertly. Again, I did not discover what the FCDO had done until after my court cases but there was evidence.


When I was in China, the FCDO had already circulated the same fictitious, slanderous material to my Chinese university employers in Dalian and Beijing, and sent similar information to what the FCDO had written (JEREMY HUNT)



in 2018, claiming I was suicidal and mentally ill, because Kurdish Iraqis had told the FCDO to write this. Do I have to go into the extremist misogyny of Kurdish Islamists? The FCDO do not mention at all the fact I had been threatened and intimidated and forced to resign from my job because of what they were encouraging Sallah Xoshnaw to do. It seems the Kurds in Raparin University and the British Embassy in Baghdad share the same hatred of women as Police Scotland, the FCDO, Colin Boyd and Colin Tyre. The slanderous and deeply damaging information in the Police Scotland document was given to my employer in Beijing who started to ask me:


Where are your children?

Have you ever had a serious mental illness?

Can we check?


Of course, my youngest son was alive - but I started to have doubts, given the threats I had received from the Barzanis, the way Police Scotland were behaving towards me and now my employers! I still did not know what Police Scotland and the IPT Court had done at this point (2022), because as I said it was all done secretly. I knew something had been written but I had not idea what had been written.


Before I left the UK (2021) I was told by MSP Jeremy Balfour to ask for a Subject Access Request as he knew Police Scotland had done something but could not say. So, I made a Subject Access Request before I left Scotland. Police Scotland refused to release the information then submitted this slander to the IPT Court Case, where I was denied the right to defend myself. Police Scotland were trying to set me up to cover up for both their mistreatment of me in 2020/21 and their completely criminal non-investigation into the pedophiles and child abusers in the Turnbull family who were responsible for the death of my child in October 2005.


So, Police Scotland and the IPT Court and Colin Boyd made sure I would be stalked, harassed, slandered, and attacked outside Scotland, again. The first time they put my life in danger, deliberately was in 2018 in Ranya, Iraq - then they continued in China in 2021/22.


All secretly. All covertly.


So, in October 2023 when Judge Colin Tyre stated:


"You cannot talk about what happened after the last IPT Case, December 2023" (included in the document above) - because he knew there was a tonne load of official and contradictory evidence now and he did not want it recorded how stupid, obvious and criminal the FCDO and IPT Court had been: circulating absolute slander and lies, which of course my Chinese employers would ask me about.


Was Colin Boyd worried that the whole story about him covering up the murder of a sixteen-year-old child was going to be made public? This could very well be the motive for him moving from the Inner House of the High Court in Scotland, to the IPT Court and sitting on my case against the FCDO. He wanted to silence me because I was talking about what he did twenty years previously! He refused to even give me a reason for not investigating the murder of my son, Danny Turnbull, in October 2005.


Colin Tyre also stated, in the Appeal Hearing(October 2023), informally but in court:


"The British Government can do anything to you if they consider you a threat to national security. You cannot take this to the European Court of Human Rights, previous people have tried and failed. Your appeal opportunities end here!" There was only a clerk but no notes were being recorded. So, I had been given one hour to present my case, and after twenty minutes I was told I couldn't talk about what the IPT Court, Police Scotland and FCDO had done to me, by circulating absolute slander and lies, in China; told I was a 'threat', without any explanation or justification; denied the right to an explanation and told I could not take my case further.


This is why I asked for asylum because I was being set up, silenced, slandered and denied even the right to defend myself. I realised immediately there was no point arguing, stopped talking and asked Tyre when he would send his decisions. I received it two days later then went straight to Switzerland as I presumed it was a 'neutral country'. It is not. They immediately contacted the FCDO and started to torture me on their behalf.

You may also want to read about the infiltration of Barzani influencers in Westminster, like Gary Kent. How much have they paid him so far? Gary Kent and another slimy politician refused to allow me to speak at the Cross Party Group on Kurdistan (2021), which would have cleared my name instantly and would have been something I could refer future employers to, protecting my career and reputation. Allowing me an appeal would also have given me evidence to defend my character and stop this torture and persecution continuing. Every single time I try to speak the truth I am slandered! Every single time.


What I am going to tell you about what the Swiss did, in my next blog post, on behalf of the FCDO will be difficult for you to believe, but I do have witnesses. I was tortured!
